Red faces over weekly walk
NICK Drainey gives the meaning of Cockleroy as “the hat of the kings” (Walk of the Week, Spectrum, 9 December), but “the red cowl” would probably be closer, as “roy” is thought to be from the Gaelic word “ruadh”, meaning “red”.
