Real Scots?

Referring to the prospect of a large number of SNP MPs being returned to Westminster, R Mill Irving (Letters, 22 April) writes: “It must be a source of great satisfaction to the Scots, and those who have chosen to be Scots, that there is a real prospect of sending real Scottish MPs to Westminster.”

It is a source of profound disquiet that someone should equate “real Scots” with SNP members.
