Q Evan Reid asks: I recently came upon a short reference to the Edinburgh Schools Athletic Team meeting the Glasgow Schools at the annual inter-city athletic contest which was held at Scotstoun, Glasgow, in June 1955.

I wondered if by chance anyone had a full copy of the Edinburgh Team List covering the three age groups which were - Group A (17-19); Group B (15-17) and Group C (13-15)? I was at Boroughmuir at the time and some of the other Boroughmuir lads who were in the team that come to my mind were Arthur Leitch,

Tom Gifford and John

Hughes.

A Cristine replies: "Yes you can still buy them. , I live in Cyprus, originally from Edinburgh, and I was on holiday in Edinburgh a few weeks ago and found them, of all places, in a Scottish gift shop on the Royal Mile leading up to Edinburgh Castle on the right hand side, I think I paid 1 a bar."

Q Margaret Ainslie is hoping for some help regarding an exhibition Haddington History Society will be involved in running at St Mary's Parish Chuch, Haddington in May/June this year. She says: "I have been asked to try and locate a photograph and/or family of an airman, who is buried in St Martin's Cemetery in Haddington. His details are: 1348307 Warrant Officer Peter Turvey Wilkinson - Pilot RAF. Mosquito No LR 559. He died 22 October 1944 when the Mosquito he was in crashed into a house on the outskirts of Haddington. He was the son of the late Mr Colin Clarence Wilkinson and Mrs Beatrice Turvey Wilkinson of Boswall Green, Edinburgh. I wonder if there is any way of trying to locate any relatives/friends through your columns?"
