Prove it

Alastair Gentleman (Letters, 1 January) should note that the burden of proof is always on those making a claim.

Consequently, the onus is on him to produce “proof” (I would say “evidence”) of life after death, not on me to produce evidence that it does not exist. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

He has not answered my 
question about Christian belief now not needing to be based on any evidence.

Christianity is a religion based in history and traditionally 
relying on the evidence of 
witnesses.
