Protecting jobs

So Nicola Sturgeon “will not settle” for anything less than representation at the UK’s table in EU negotiations because 300,000 Scottish jobs depend upon trade across the trading bloc (your report, 20 June).

It is so good that she is so concerned, but puzzling that she was not as involved in preserving the many, many more thousands of jobs that depend upon trade with the rest of the UK during the independence referendum.

Surely Ms Sturgeon is not simply trying to create a position which the government must refuse so that her party can create another argument. No. I am sure that she would never stoop so low, would she?
