Promoting slaughter

Those enjoying the BBC’s Big Cat Diary may have been shocked by the revelation that a Scottish firm, Hendry Ramsay & Waters, of Perth, is promoting the trophy hunting of lions. Its website has pictures of "sportsmen" posing by carcases they have just killed.

Lion numbers in Africa have fallen by 80 per cent in the past 20 years. Given the pressures on lions from habitat loss, conflict with humans and disease, how can anyone justify promotion of this needless destruction?
