Who can forget that the presidency of the saintly Barack Obama kicked off with his being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize – for not being George Bush?

Now the rather less saintly Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the prize for his efforts to prevent the same Barack Obama bombing yet another Islamic nation.

They join a growing list of the unworthy including Yasser Arafat and Henry Kissinger.
