Surely until the result of the judicial review comes out there is no need to consider how to connect a theoretical wind farm to the grid unless Shet knows something that the rest of us don’t.
If anyone has any doubts about the suitability of the area for more pylons and sub-stations they should pop along and take a look at the Wester Balblair monstrosity at Beauly and the connecting Beauly to Denny line. Both are far worse than the local population could ever have imagined.

Hide AdIt is somewhat baffling that the national grid south of the Border, in England and Wales, is reportedly looking at putting in more subterranean transmission lines because of the damage to the environment of overhead lines in scenic areas.
Why there and not Scotland? Our scenery here is second to none and should be protected at all costs.
