Positive blow

I enjoyed your headline and story suggesting that a “Yes vote will harm science in Scotland” (4 November).

To my certain knowledge, that adds to the list of defence, employment, tourism, industrial development and academic positions that will all, allegedly, suffer should the people of Scotland choose to govern themselves.

I very much look forward to reading how a Yes vote will negatively affect bird watching or the height of Scottish mountains.
