Porn and young

Professor Tanya Byron is right to voice concern about children's exposure to pornography (your report, 30 March), as the current generation of children are guinea pigs in an unprecedented experiment into the long term effects of widespread freely available pornography.

Many harmful consequences of pornography are well documented, and the moral case is overwhelming, but children are not usually exposed to the full force of the argument.

Technological protections may inconvenience porn-seeking youngsters, but it is ultimately a losing battle. We need to change attitudes, not just filtering software.
