Poppy timing

Having lost many relations in the World Wars I find it nauseating seeing celebrities starting to wear poppies at the beginning of October.

Armistice Day will become meaningless if this situation is allowed to continue. To remember the fallen we should keep it to one day. The poppy should not be used as a symbol of celebrity.

I have heard people complaining about those who start wearing their poppies too early.

I don’t understand why this is a cause for offence. The more we see poppies, the more we think about the heartbreaking sacrifices made, and surely that is a good thing.
