Poor form
I write in relation to your front page story (“Voter registration row over threat of £80 fine”, 17 October).
Beyond the threatening manner in which citizens are required to register details, perhaps the most outrageous thing is, as a registered voter already, I’m required to fill out a form online which is surely just doing the Electoral Registration Officer’s job for them.
Why couldn’t they just copy the details they already have across to whatever new expensive IT system I’ve obviously helped pay for as a tax payer?
