Poor defence

PRIME Minister David Cameron is doing his best to antagonise Scots worldwide by suggesting his Westminster government should annex a little bit of Scotland, ie the Faslane nuclear submarine base, as an English territory, if Scotland becomes independent (your report, 12 July).

Scotland is already away ahead of it neighbours south of the Border with superior laws, better education, free universities, safer and free health services and a massive lead in off-shore technology.

So, why are Mr Cameron’s lot doing their best to destroy what Scotland does better?
