Poor comparison

So David Johnstone and S Beck (Letters, 10 March) liken the bonus payments to Royal Bank of Scotland staff to an armed robbery! As a former member of RBS who had the misfortune to be a victim of such a crime I find this comparison odious.

I hope and pray that neither they nor their families suffer such a fate, but I would suggest that they consider their opinions more carefully next time.

The robber was apprehended and is now serving a 12-year sentence. This shows that, thankfully, the court showed more judgment than the two correspondents mentioned above.
