Point of view: Cheats

ACCORDING to a Department of Work and Pensions advert, 56,493 benefit cheats were caught last year. Collectively and cumulatively, they could pocket an awful lot of taxpayers' money. Perhaps we can be told just how much and how it compares with the millions purloined by the real financial experts who brought the world to its knees. Can we expect them to be pursued with the same due diligence? I will not hold my breath.
