You claim the sun's "perfect storm" would reach Earth "at the speed of light" (your report, 9 June). In fact, the plasma of ionised particles would travel at the average speed of the solar wind, which is about 1 million mph, some 670 times slower. From satellite observation, we should have just under four days' warning.
