Playing Games

I read with interest John Greiner’s letter (2 July) about Commonwealth Games tickets. I ordered two tickets for the lawn bowling last year and on 26 August received confirmation that my application was successful. The money was taken in about October. I have still to receive the tickets.

I have e-mailed Glasgow 2014 a few times but, although I get a reply, I still don’t know when the tickets will be sent.

One of the tickets is for a friend, who tried to contact them by phone, which involved being on hold for 30 minutes, listening to loud music. At the end of this she was told “it would be looked in to”.

Short of going through to Glasgow, it seems communication by e-mail or phone has little effect and the date for the Games is fast approaching. I am very disappointed in the organisation of the ticketing procedures.
