Pity party
I felt a pang of sympathy for the Liberal Democrats when I read Thomas R Burgess’s Letter (7 October) suggesting they reinvent themselves as the Village Hall People.
Political parties should not inspire pity, but they did make their bed. It’s time for them to disband before they disintegrate.
