Panda ratio

Angela Innes (Letters, 28 March) shows commendable interest in the welfare of Tian Tian, the giant panda in Edinburgh Zoo.

We are used to saying that Scotland has more pandas than Conservative Members of Parliament. Just in case more than one Conservative MP gets elected on 7 May, we may hope that Tian Tian conceives and gives birth to ensure that the numerical superiority of Pandas over Tory MPs continues.
