Panda fatigue

Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing the incessant press releases from Edinburgh Zoo about the panda which may give birth at any moment?

We had better brace ourselves for a baby panda for Christmas or New Year, or the Chinese New Year in 2014 or more likely not at all.

It’s complete nonsense to claim that panda breeding is not a precise science – Chinese breeding centres such as Chengdu churn them out by the dozen. Edinburgh Zoo in my opinion has succumbed to commercialism, inseminating Tian Tian to turn a quick buck.
