On your trolley

Shame on you for the untimely announcement of the death of the Hostess Trolley (11 October). Not only is it neither obsolete nor outdated, but it is still in full use in many houses across the country. What would any decent dinner party be like without it? How could many families survive Christmas without it?

I checked John Lewis, and found a whole page of Hostess Trollies for sale. I agree we should perhaps now call it “the non-gender-specific entertainment trolley”, but there is no doubt as to its merits!
