On your bike …

With reference to a Transport Scotland’s advert about children choosing to cycle to school – and that we should give them car-width space – we live between Stewart’s Melville and Mary Erskine’s schools in Edinburgh, and the only time I encounter children cycling to school is on the pavement, accompanied by a parent, also on a bicycle. There is a parental expectation that I will move out of the way – I don’t.
