Offbeat caption

I saw a picture of my friend in your newspaper (reviews, 6 May). The story was "Shakespeare gets some catchy tunes as African opera charms for charity" and the caption said: "The opera's author Alexander McCall Smith with bongo drummer Sam Okono".

Now my friend's name is actually Sam Oko. And he wasn't playing a "bongo drum", which is a double-headed drum from Cuba. Instead he was playing a "djembe drum" which is a drum from West Africa that has been around in Scotland since the 1980s (at least), and has become one of the most popular percussion instruments here.
