Yet again Britain is humiliated at Eurovision. The time has come for the BBC to stop the bleat that every nation hates us and all the voting is political for that is simplistic nonsense.

We continue to enter kara-oke singers or pop names from the past and wonder why we do badly. The chances are that from 2015 Scotland will be in a position to enter in our own right and we will be able to disassociate ourselves from this patronising attitude.
