Not the answer

Doctors Jehangir Din and Andrew Flapan (Letters, 13 January) suggest that if our salmon farming industry is in difficulties, the solution is to nationalise it, to ensure a product of the highest quality and an industry operating in an environmentally-friendly manner.

Could they tell us which nationalised industries have achieved such outcomes? One wonders what they are doctors of. Economics seems unlikely.
