Norway our way?

I AM puzzled as to why Norway is being cited as the ideal for Scotland to follow in the event of independence. Both countries depend on oil but there the similarities end. Norway is not a member of the EU and has no wish to join. And when it balloted on independence from Sweden back in 1905, 95 per cent voted Yes, a result the Yes camp can only dream of here.
