Non-green land

Whilst there are many issues which the Yes Campaign cannot (or won’t) provide answers to, one issue which has been significantly omitted from debate is that of the environment.

The electorate should consider the current Scottish government’s dire record on the environment and expect more damage to be inflicted post-independence, in the headlong pursuit of a “prosperous” Scotland.

The Scottish ministers have so far presided over the despoiling of huge tracks of the country with the erection of industrial scale wind farms; agreed to the building of golf courses on sites of special scientific interest; stood by whilst the Scottish wildcat has become nearly extinct; been ineffective in preventing the persecution of birds of prey; dragged their feet over the creation of marine parks; and more. Is this the Scotland we want for the future?
