For an economist of his experience to wave away fundamental problems of monetary arrangements and currency as “arcane and a non-issue” is simply irresponsible.

Stiglitz also said that Scotland has a single “shared ­vision and ­values that have increasingly departed from those dominant south of the Border”. There is no evidence to ­support this ­assertion.
