No treason

Michael N Crosby (Letters, 18 June) should read some history. The 13th-century kingdom of Scotland was an occupied country. William Wallace was a popularly supported freedom fighter and by no means treasonous. The British state was not invented until the early 18th century so, in my opinion, the letter in question belongs to its country of origin, Scotland. Accordingly, people wanting to view it should come here.
