No rush to wind

Jenny Fyall's report regarding the impact of marine environment legislation on offshore renewable energy (7 April) raises important questions.

If I understand him correctly, Mr McVicar of McGrigor's is concerned this legislation could delay the deployment of offshore wind farm projects.

Surely he does not mean we should rush these projects through without considering fully their potentially detrimental impact on Scotland's rare and precious marine environment just so we can meet some spurious target set by politicians?
