No laughing matter

I WAS angered by Friday’s picture of four Scottish SNP leaders lolling about in their seats, the finance secretary clearly helpless with laughter, at some in-joke.

These scenes make a mockery of the parliament. Are our ministers really that oblivious to the financial, educational and other crises facing the nation?

How dare they treat the public with such indifference – especially at this time of unprecedented worry for individuals and families.

There is a time and place for humour, but to show such disregard for the feelings of the very people whose interests they are supposed to represent amazes me.
