No intervention

Congratulations to Tiffany Jenkins for her excellent article (Perspective, 21 February) regarding the named person legislation.

It clearly pointed out the high possibility of unwarranted intervention into family life by those whose ideas of how to bring up children differed from those of the parents, and also how many of those who really need help could easily slip under the radar.

Yes, the legislation is extremely sinister and I for one am not willing to support any politician who cannot see the serious implications of taking our country down such a dangerous road.
