No argument

Under the terms of the UN Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (an achievement of Irish foreign policy) an independent Scotland would be obliged to divest herself of nuclear weapons as happened in the case of Ukraine in the 1990s. Is anyone suggesting that another nuclear armed state would be either desirable or even legal?
