Named persons
Andrew Gray and other contributors to the letters pages clearly do not like the proposed “named person” scheme (Letters, 4 June).
It is obvious from his letters that he does not understand how it is intended to work, but that does not deter him from presenting the scheme in the most sinister light.
“Parents are to be over-ruled” and the named persons have become “state-appointed officials” or “guardians” who the children “probably don’t even know”.
