Mother country

I am Andrew Marr’s mother. Not television’s Andrew Marr, whose life won’t be affected by the result of the referendum, but teenager Andrew Marr, whose future depends on Scotland getting it right next year, and who has a good dollop of English blood in his veins, courtesy of his mother.

It should be remembered that within the ranks of the SNP there are many English people, as well as people who hail from other parts of the UK and from all corners of the world, who have made their home in Scotland and believe that the way to achieve a fairer, more democratic and prosperous country will be by voting Yes in 2014.
