Morning thought

I am sad to see that you have discontinued the item “This Morning”, which was regularly situated at the foot of the Family Announcements column.

These little daily Bible extracts, accompanied by short commentaries, have regularly given encouragement, courage and comfort to many people, myself included, in times of despair, grief and trouble of various kinds, and I cannot be the only reader of your newspaper who mourns the loss of this daily item.

I would like to thank the many contributors for their helpful, encouraging and thought-provoking words over the years.
