Mixed signals

I watched Gordon Brown responding to a Commons committee this week and it was most strange; he was like the leading man rehearsing for the first time when he knew the words but didn't understand the play, as his body language, his smiles, smirks and frowns were completely out of synch with what he was saying. If this is how he normally behaves it is little wonder that no-one understands what on earth he stands for.
