Missing persons

How wonderful that so many senior politicians from both sides of the referendum divide put their 
differences aside to attend the special service at St Giles’ Cathedral on Sunday (your report, 22 September).

But where were Alex 
Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon? I was very disappointed by their absence. What are we to read from this?
