Misplaced loyalty

The final Commons division on the EU treaty on 5 March related to proposed New Clause 9 – an amendment to protect the legal supremacy of parliament. Shockingly, only 48 MPs could be bothered to vote for this amendment, while 380 voted against it.

Although those 380 MPs swore the oath of allegiance before they took their seats, they have now shown that their primary loyalty is not to this country and its people, but to the EU.
