Minimum pricing

BMA Scotland chairman Brian Keighley claims that the cost of premature deaths due to alcohol in Scotland is estimated at £1.46 billion and that a minimum price of 40p per unit of alcohol would prevent 26 deaths.

This suggests he calculates each death to cost about 56 million. Perhaps he could explain this unbelievably high cost.
