Migrant numbers

Conservative politicians are promising to curb immigration and health tourism not only from countries outwith the EU but also EU countries.

Migrants in employment would be denied, for four years, welfare benefits and social housing.

Will Scottish MPs support this move or will they chant “Scotland needs more immigrants”?

South of the Border there is the start of a clampdown on health tourism which is bleeding £2 billion a year from the NHS.

Hospitals there now have a “legal obligation” to ensure they identify those not entitled to free treatment.

The NHS in Scotland is a devolved issue so is it too much to ask that Scottish MSPs implement similar controls on health tourism?
