Message is clear on gay weddings

TIM Hopkins’ silence is deafening (Letters, 18 November) with regard to the 34,000 Scotland for Marriage signatories and 612,000 Coalition for Marriage signatories, not to mention ComRes polls carried out for Coalition for Marriage and Catholic Voices. The evidence is clear: the majority don’t support redefining marriage. Even more deafening is his silence over the looming inequality in our society whereby homosexuals will have two options to solemnise their relationships and heterosexuals only one.
