Mass destraction

Alexander McKay’s letter (29 January) unwittingly makes a powerful case for getting rid of Trident with his graphic account of mushroom clouds of radiation drifting up from Pembrokeshire.

However, I think he’s getting a little over-excited because if the Ministry of Defence ever attempted to move Trident to Wales, the good people of the principality would soon tell them where to go (something we should have done decades ago).

Unless, of course, they think the risks are outweighed by the expansion of their local economy with the addition of “tens of thousands of jobs”. Aye, right.
