Loyalty tested

If I wished to sabotage the SNP government, I would have grasped at the issue of the Beauly/Denny pylons as an opportunity to demolish the SNP as the party of freedom for Scotland.

The long inquiry held on the subject, where only cabling was on the agenda, appears to have been tailored to the interests of the power companies alone: the same people who are sapping the lifeblood out of Scots.

I am a long time supporter of the cause for Scottish independence, and will remain so, but this decision, pathetically defended by Jim Mathers on Newsnight Scotland, to cut a gash through the heart of the country, for the benefit of the power moguls, puts my loyalty to the party under great stress.
