Losing battle

The latest figures produced on air pollution in Scotland indicate that we are losing the battle in trying to reduce pollutants in the air of our cities, with all of them recording well above the recommended levels for public safety.

Traffic is the biggest single form of pollution and it is perhaps not surprising to see Aberdeen listed as the worst city in Scotland, as it also has the worst traffic congestion, contributing to the more than 2,000 premature deaths every year cased by air pollution in Scotland.
