Litter message

VISITING Scotland must be a shock to those who have read the blurb and have seen stunning pictures of Bonnie Scotland across the media. For this once beautiful country is in fact a
litter bin.

Take the M90 from Edinburgh for one example, which thousands of tourists do each year, and you shall see astonishing amounts of litter, for mile upon mile, scattered at the sides of the road, up the verges and on the central reservation.

What a sight. Who is chucking this? What can be done about it?

An idea for a start, which would cost very little, if anything, would be to use the lit-up display signs (which usually remind drivers of some serious safety issue) to say: Do not litter. Please take your rubbish home.
