Light relief

George Inglis (Letters, 1 April) is definitely on to something big; a means to increase our
reserves of renewable energy by harvesting moonlight has gone completely untapped. How could this have happened?

It was a most enjoyable piece, but I must admit that the alarm bells started ringing when he suggested subsidies for companies who would develop the technology for chasing moonbeams.

This would not be the first “lunatic” notion entertained by our leaders and I can only pray that if the powers at Holyrood read Mr Inglis’s letter they are fully aware of the significance of the publication date.
