Life or death

So, the reverends on the Mound are telling us that an assisted death is a sin.

They appear to have missed the sacrificial dimension that lies at the heart of the Christian gospel and also at the heart of MSP Margo MacDonald's bill.

Their Lord laid down his life for humanity, and commended those who laid down their lives for their friends.

Hopefully, the general population will set aside their verdict on the grounds that it can hardly be a sin for those receiving care to follow the divine example and confer upon their carers a fuller life.
