Letters: Murray support sets an example

I ALWAYS find your letters section quite fascinating. Looking back to 27 June, we the English Football Supporters don't ram anything down your throats, some of the over-the-top commentators actually turn us off.

In our last game against Slovenia, we hit mute as we could not put up with the usual drivel any longer. However, when you get dozens of letters ranting against England, you must expect us to react.

Of course, all of this would be solved if the BBC were to give we the English equality with yourselves and give us a BBC England, you would not hear any of it.

When Andy Murray was playing at Wimbledon this week, he enjoyed massive support from England, just as we always wanted your football team to do well except when playing us – until we realised just how much comfort it brings to your average Scot to see England lose.
