Letters: Blessed nation

I NEARLY fell off my chair laughing when I read that Labour had accused the BBC of bias by inviting Alex Salmond to the Question Time Liverpool programme.

I am an Englishman who wants an English Parliament, and, as such, know that Labour and the Tories will never willingly allow it, and to see Alex Salmond tear Peter Haine to pieces over prescription charges was wonderful.

You Scots are truly blessed to have a man like him running your country. I know that many Labour supporters in Scotland will bristle by that comment, but if you don't want him send him down here.

Labour go to court in attempt to stop Alex Salmond appearing as a panellist on Question Time from Liverpool on 14 April.

Representatives from the Lib Dems, Conservatives and Labour unionist parties were all on the panel, and this raises the question: why didn't Labour put Iain Gray forward instead of Peter Hain MP? Was this to spare blushes ?
